Books in Bloom

Both the Friends and the Stoneham Garden Club are working on our “Books in Bloom” fundraiser, scheduled for next April 26th and 27th, 2024. It will be held at the library, using the entire interior space to showcase beautiful floral arrangements, raffle gift baskets with specific book themes, appetizers, a light dinner and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

It is an event our groups organized in years past and was always an exciting event for hundreds of Stoneham residents and visitors. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the library.

If you are interested in helping out, please reach out to our president, Caroline Read, at president@stonehamfriends.org

Fall Book Sale

We had a blow out book sale this year! There were hundreds of books that had accumulated from donations that we moved into the Marcy Room. There was a great turn out and the charity made a good amount to contribute to library.

Thank you to all the gracious helpers that volunteered their time to help setup and run the event. Also, a bog shout out to the Stoneham High School Boys Soccer Team and Coaches for helping us move all the books! It was so much easier because of you all. Thanks also to those that came and bought books, it was great to the community supporting the local library.
